Impact of circular economy network building: resilience strategy to climate action

Purpose This study aims to examine how external and internal conditions drive the impact of circular economy mechanism by decomposing into three policy networks in terms reduce, reuse recycle, better understand contingency model climate change effect firm size on subsequent performance. Design/methodology/approach Drawing network resource-based view (RBV)-network-resilience strategy framework, a pooled longitudinal cross-sectional data is developed using sample 4,050 Taiwanese manufacturing multinational corporations (MNCs) making foreign direct investment between 2013 2018. Structural equation modeling analysis used comprehensively investigate each context size. Post hoc multigroup (MGA) also conducted. Findings MGA shows that reduce positively negatively related know-how production size, respectively. The can enhance competence large firms. recycle more prominent enhancement change. Practical implications MNCs are seeking build greater extent, given pressure guidelines. Originality/value adds RBV-network-related literature interactions performance, echoing recent call sustainability MNCs.
